March has arrived, Spring is round the corner and Summer is edging closer! If that’s not enough to give you a boost this week, we don’t know what is! So what are the national holidays coming up that we can look forward to in March? A month jam-packed full of celebratory days – use your social media platforms to inspire your followers, with the following key dates…
March kicks off with a day celebrated by the Welsh in St David’s Day with World Book Day (2nd), Employee Appreciation Day (3rd) and National Grammar Day completing week one.
British Pie Week kicks it off week two, followed by an important day in the diary where we celebrate all the powerful and amazing women in the world in International Women’s Day (8th). There are a range of niche national holidays completing the week with No Smoking Day (9th) , World Kidney Day (10th) and World Plumbing Day (11th).
Get those speeches drafted for week three as World Speech Day (15th) celebrates speaking events across the globe. Dig out your leprechaun outfit or listen to your favourite Boyzone song with St Patrick’s Day on the 17th, and see how you get involved with raising money for the annual Red Nose Day (also on the 17th). For more information on the various ways you can help Red Nose Day this year, see here.
A few more of our favourites this month are Spring Solstice (20th), World Poetry Day (21st), and World Theatre Day (27th), but who can forget probably the most important of them all, in Mother’s Day. This year falling on Sunday 19th March.
March ends as British Spring time officially begins (whoop whoop!) – and while our clocks finally go forward an hour on 26th, our minds will all be looking forward to longer warmer days. But in the meantime, have a happy social media March and enjoy getting creative!
